Move Rural Canada: Working at Ritz Machine Works

Excited that season 2 of The Move Rural Canada Podcast is back! We are starting off the season with another great rural Manitoba business: Ritz Machine Works Inc.

Who is Ritz machine Works?

RITZ Machine Works is a precision metal fabrication company based in Dauphin. Their specialty lies in tube bending and manufacturing, serving businesses across Canada and the United States.

They use advanced processes—CNC machining, robotic welding, laser cutting—to produce high-precision parts. The company was founded in 1998 by merging the initials of its founders (RI + TZ = RITZ), and has grown from its roots in Dauphin into a globally aware supplier.

Why work at Ritz?

  • They are supportive of hiring newcomers and currently have many newcomers working for them.
  • They are growing and have open positions
  • They really want you to advance in your field
    • In our interview Jodie spoke alot about how they are continually checking in with employees, setting goals, having performance reviews to ensure staff continue to develop their skills
  • They don’t expect Canadian work experience
    • But you should be able to relate your past experiences into a Canadian context.

Moving Rural

A big question that often comes up when moving to rural or Northern Canada is places to live. Below are some great towns to check out. All within 45 minutes of Dauphin, Manitoba which is where Ritz Machine Works is located.

Living in rural Canada is MUCH more affordable than the larger cities. Make sure to check out REALTOR.ca for house listings.

Other Supports

You don’t just need a place to live, you want a place to settle

How to connect with Ritz

They love connecting potential employees. Don’t just apply online. Give them a call (ask for Jodi Romanov) to speak more about opportunities. Or drop by their office for an informal interview.
