I am very excited about this episode.
When Lindsay and I started this podcast, Vidir was the first company that I thought of to have on. They are one of most supportive companies that I have ever worked with. They truly want to see all of their employees thrive and grow. And they offer many supports to ensure that staff are able to do that. (one of those supports is language classes that I teach!)
As well, they recently just received the Canadian Manufacturer’s and Exporters 2025 Pioneer Award! They are strong believers in investing in both people and their local communities.

Located in the Interlake region of Manitoba, Vidir has sites in both Arborg and Teulon. They offer a variety of positions and opportunities for people.
Some highlights from our podcast interview:
- They don’t worry about Canadian experience, they look at transferrable skills
- English is needed, but depending on the position it can be at a lower level.
- Plus they offer English classes to their employees!
- Employees have been hired on various immigration pathways.
